Dr. Gary G. Bitter’s groundbreaking research and development of digital curricula and professional development materials is poised to transform PreK-12 learning environments. He has published over 200 articles and books in the areas of educational technology, mathematics education, the professional development of teachers, presented an estimated 1200 talks to state, national, and international organizations. Dr. Bitter is also an inspirational leader who is very much responsible for the advancement of technology-based research in Arizona and throughout the world.

As the founding board member and first elected president of the International Society for Technology in Education, he helped to redefine the boundaries of the PreK-12 classrooms by forming a network of dedicated professionals sharing classroom-proven solutions to address the challenge of infusing technologies across the curriculum.

Dr. Bitter is a key leader in his field for the state of Arizona, for national professional organizations and conferences, for national boards and task forces, and as an author of widely used textbooks and digital curricula. He puts total energy into every endeavor he pursues and therefore has made an incredible research and development contribution to the educational technology field.

What's New

June-2003

- TBLR recently received two Telly Awards honoring outstanding video productions. A Bronze Telly Award was received for a video production created for the Desert Voices Oral Learning Center along with a Silver Telly Award for "Geoboard Properties", the first of a series of DVDs to be produced for an educational mathematical content series called math•ed•ology™.
