Instructional Media Design

Instructional Media Design is the world’s first accredited college-level course on CD-ROM. The course combines a variety of media to effectively teach concepts of instructional design through active inquiry and practice. Developed by TBLR and the Educational Technology degree program, in a partnership between Arizona State University and Intel Corporation, this course is designed to give users experience in solving and producing solutions to real-world instructional design problems.

The interactive seminar introduces students to various forms of media and media design through the use of text, audio, full-motion video, and animated graphics. These tools help students produce all necessary designs using special production areas built into the CD-ROM. These production areas are an innovation unique to Instructional Media Design that allow students to apply their knowledge to real-world problems. The course is self-instructional, giving students the opportunity to develop skills at their own pace and encouraging them to review and explore concepts.
